Sautéed Radishes
Cooking radishes takes the harsh edge off of them. Here, sautéing them in butter until a bit browned results in sweet yet tender-crisp bites.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter or butter flavored coconut oil, or avocado oil for dairy-free
- 12 ounces radishes halved
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh herbs for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pan over medium high heat. When hot, add the radishes, cut face down. Cook until browned, about 5-8 minutes.
- Add a couple of tablespoons of water and cover the pan to steam the radishes until tender, another 3-5 minutes.
- Uncover pan and cook until the water is evaporated off and the radishes are as caramelized as you like, another 3-5 minutes.
