Shrimp Alfredo

This dish is fast and easy while still being rich and filling. The lemon and parsley help balance the richness by providing a fresh contrast.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan grated
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • parsley minced for garnish
  • zest of one lemon for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring the cream and butter to a boil and simmer to reduce volume to half, about 10 minutes.
  • Add shrimp and cooked through and pink, about 3 minutes per side.
  • Add in cheese and nutmeg. Taste sauce and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with lemon zest and parsley.
