Steak Bites with Green Goddess Sauce on Mixed Greens
Seasoned steak bites with a low-fat herbal sauce. I like to serve this with a side salad and some cauliflower puree.

Ingredients
Steak
- 1 pound sirloin steak tips cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper fresh ground
- 1 teaspoon avocado oil
Green Goddess Sauce
- 1/2 avocado or 1 medium zucchini for lower fat
- 1 tablespoon basil
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 tablespoon tarragon
- 1 tablespoon chives
- 1 clove garlic peeled
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 lemon
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional Salad
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 2 cups mixed greens
- 1/2 cup edamame shelled
- 8 cherry tomatoes quartered
- 1//4 cup sunflower seeds toasted
Instructions
- Add the steak tips, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to a medium bowl and toss to coat evenly. Set aside and let marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- While steak marinates, prepare the sauce. Combine all ingredients in a high power blender and blend until completely smooth. Add water as needed to be able to blend the zucchini. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat 1 teaspoon avocado oil in a hot pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides cooked to your liking, about 7 minutes total for medium rare (125ĀŗF).
- Combine all salad ingredients and serve steak and sauce over top, if desired.
