Fried Cabbage and Sausage

This is a fast and easy meal. Use whatever sausage you like, but just check the carbs and calories to make sure they fit your nutrition needs. Choose chicken for lower fat or pork for higher fat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon butter or butter flavored coconut oil for dairy-free
  • 1 small head cabbage sliced thin, 4 cups
  • 4 sausages pre-cooked and sliced thin

Instructions

  • Heat a large nonstick pan over high heat and add the butter and cabbage. Cook, stirring often until softened and lightly browned, about 8 minutes. Add the sliced sausage and continue cooking until heated through, another 2 minutes or so. Season to taste with salt.
