Sugar and Spice Pecans

These pecans are sweet and crunchy and full of cinnamon flavor. Feel free to add other spices such as nutmeg, cloves, etc. These make for excellent holiday treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pecan halves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 cup monk fruit granulated
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Beat egg white and vanilla until frothy but not stiff.
  • Stir in sweetener, salt, and cinnamon. Add pecans and stir well, until pecans are completely coated.
  • Spread nuts on a large baking sheet and bake at 200ºF for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven when dry and toasty. When cool, store in an airtight container.
