Lavender Panna Cotta

This is an unusual flavor of set cream. Really you can use any flavoring you want here. Just add the flavor slowly and taste to adjust it to your liking.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons granulated monk fruit
  • Pinch of salt
  • 8 drops lavender Lorann Oils (add 4 drops to start and increase to desired flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Few drops of food coloring

Instructions

  • Add 1/2 cup cream to a medium sauce pan. Sprinkle the gelatin over top and let it sit for 10 minutes to rehydrate. After 10 minutes, add sugar, and salt. Heat over high heat, whisking constantly until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Make an ice water bath in a large bowl. Slowly pour the remaining cream into the gelatin mixture, stirring to combine and cool. Add flavor and color, tasting as you go to adjust the strength to your liking. Then place the pan into the ice water bath and continue whisking until the mixture is cool and thickened. Pour into serving glasses, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until set, at least five hours. Serve chilled.
