Marinated Steak Tips

This marinade works for any cut of beef. You can then cook as desired, such as on the grill, in the oven, or on the stovetop as here.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup gluten-free soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 3 tablespoons monk fruit golden (omit if using coconut aminos)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest grated
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 pounds top sirloin steak tips often sold as flap meat

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients and marinate the steak for 30 minutes at room temperature. Then thoroughly dry the steak, reserving marinade.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon avocado oil in a hot pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides cooked to your liking, about 7 minutes for medium rare (125ºF). Remove to a plate and set aside.
  • Add reserved marinade to the pan and reduce by half. Serve over steak.
