Creamy Jalapeño Sauce

This is a bright and flavorful pepper sauce that is excellent on tacos, salads, or even as a dressing for something like chicken salad. The more seeds and membranes that you remove from the peppers, the more mild the heat will be.

Ingredients

  • 5 jalapeños stems and seeds removed
  • 4 garlic cloves peeled
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice 3 limes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup avocado oil
  • 1 bunch cilantro with stems

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a high power blender or food processor and puree until smooth and a creamy emulsion forms. If your machine does not blend fast enough, an emulsion will not form and you will have a runny sauce.
