Coffee Granita

This is a delicious and flavor packed low-fat frozen treat. Use your favorite coffee (I love a hazelnut flavor blend for this). The granita is great on its own but I do also like to serve with whipped cream or homemade sweetened condensed milk drizzled over top.

Instructions

  • Prepare the coffee as you normally would. Stir in the allulose, vanilla, stevia, and salt. Pour into a 9x13-inch pan and set in the freezer for 1 hour. The mixture should begin forming ice crystals around the edge at this time. Use a for to break up the crystals before placing the pan back in the freezer to continue setting. Repeat every 30 minutes, or until completely frozen.
  • The granita can be covered and stored at this point. Best served the same day but will last up to a week, frozen. You may want to gently thaw for a few minutes if it is frozen overnight or more.
