Bake the bacon on a parchment lined pan for 30 minutes in a 375ºF oven, or until browned to your liking, drain excess oil on paper towels then crumble the bacon and set aide.
Combine half of the avocado, avocado oil, lemon juice, basil, and salt in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth.
Toss the butter lettuce with the dressing then add halved cherry tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and add diced remaining half avocado. Add more salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
